The Mediterranean Weather In Cyprus
You will find that the Mediterranean region has great warm weather with a great setting in pleasant surroundings. Good health and a long life are credited to these great surroundings and wonderful weather. Many people are giving thought to living in Northern Cyprus and they love what they find there. The summers are long and hot, the winters are short and cool but never cold. The winter weather in Northern Cyprus will change between warm and sunny to wet and cloudy. In November winter will start in Northern Cyprus and then will trail off again into spring in early February. It is during the winter months that the lakes that are all across the Northern part of Cyprus will refill and the reservoir will also be refilled and this will help them get set for the rest of the year with hot weather.
When February rolls around and the winter weather trails off spring time with begin and you will see the beauty of Northern Cyprus refreshed and back in full force. The beautiful country side will become covered with beautiful flowers in many colors, the trees will bloom and the green will become lush and green again. During the spring is the best time to get out and enjoy the beauties of nature. Taking a walk through the mountains is ideal at this time of year. The sun is bright bit you wont find yourself running for shade since the heat of the summer has not set in just yet. But this cool weather will not last to long. Although the rain from the winter will retreat and the heat from the summer is not there yet it will surely be on its way back soon.
Near the end of spring you will know that the temperature is heading back up to the higher end of the thermostat. When this happens you will find yourself digging in your closet for those shorts and tank tops to try and beat the heat of the summer. You can also smell the barbeques in the air which is a sure sign that summer is at the doorstep. Summer officially ends at the end of September but the heat and hot sunny days will last well into the month of October.
When October arrives people are actually happy to see the rain. They are not alone in this since the trees, flowers and other animals are also excited to have a chance to cool off from the hot summer weather. It is so rare to see even a grey ski let alone a drop of rain in the summer so anything that grows on the island of Cyprus is excited to feel the rain wash over them. So if hot long summers and short cool winters is your idea of paradise then Northern Cyprus is the place for you!
